Summary: Naomi works at the old folk house called, Kibou House. One day, the place accepts a bunch of gangsters send to the place and become her new colleagues. How she react with it?

Author note: This is request by my favourite commenter, Nao-chan. Hope I could fulfill her wish to create bad Kota. I only own the plot and OC.

Hajimaru~~

                Naomi just wakes up like usual and get ready for the work. She rides her bicycle to Kibou House and park at usual place. Next to her, a bike already at there and Naomi just smile with it. She just gets into female staff room and notice a girl still in deep sleep on the couch.

                “Karina-chan, wake up. Why you sleep at here?” ask Naomi as she shakes the girl’s body to wake her.

                “Let me sleep more. I just finish my night shift.” Say Karina as she fixes her posture on the couch.

                “Sleep at your house.” Say Naomi as she changes her clothes into helper’s uniform.

                “I can’t go back home today. My shift for today will start same with you. Naomi-chan, could you ask boss to add more staff?” Say Karina. She can’t go back to sleep as Naomi disturb her sleep just now.

                “Why don’t you ask boss by yourself? Our boss is your dad, right?” tease Naomi.

                “If I can do it, I already ask him not to make me involve in these things.” Say Karina. Naomi just smile to hear it because she knows about why Karina join Kibou House; her father want to change her bad attitude towards everyone for better.

                “You have to prove him that you’re not a brat.” Say Naomi.

                “I will do it later. Ah, I really want to skip work today. I want to go to oji-chan’s place and practice fight at there.” Say Karina.

                “Oji-chan?” ask Naomi.

                “Yeah, the one who give bike as my birthday present.” Say Karina happily.

                “Ah, forget about it. We should begin our work today.” Say Naomi. She just pulls Karina to leave the staff room and begin their work at Kibou House.

                At other place, there is a group of youngster who make ruckus at shops by messing things in their shop. No one ever dare to stop them to avoid get injuries. Then, an old man decides to stop them by shouting, “STOP IT RIGHT NOW!”

                “Who the hell are you, old man?” ask Kota.

                “Don’t interference us or you will get hurt!” Shout Hikaru. The old man just relaxes and not even moves an inch from his place. Kota begin feel irritated with the old man’s action that underestimate, decide to attack him but his movement quickly block with single swing of his cane.

                “You just disturb people’s calmness at here and ruin their business.  Never think that you already strong enough to take over this district.” Say the old man. He could break the youngster’s bone with another swing but he knows the boys just wasting time.

                “Why you do these things?” ask the old man.

                “People keep looking us as scum and crap. That’s why we want to let them that we’re strong.” Say Kota.

                “I know where you can prove them that you’re not scum or crap.” Say the old man.

                “Karina, help me in the office!” shout her father, Ryoichi.

                “I still have work at kitchen.” Say Karina.

                “Leave it other helpers. Come here quickly.” Say Ryoichi.

                “Hai~~!!” say Karina as she dry her hands before go to office. It seems Ryoichi really nervous on something as his movement quicker than usual.

                “What happen here, oyaji?” ask Karina.

                “Help me arrange all of these files.  Someone will come to visit us today. Call Naomi-san to help you.” Say Ryoichi.

                Karina just call Naomi and both of them begin arranges all files to its place. Naomi asks about what happen but no one answer the question. She begin feel nervous due the clumsiness that happen in that office.

                After several minutes, an old man arrive with a group a boys and get into the office. Karina and Naomi just serve drinks for the guests. Naomi could not hide her scared feeling when the old man’s eyes on her and almost misstep. Karina just says, “Just relax. Oji-chan just rare to see you at here.”

                That old man just points his finger to Naomi and says, “You, I want you to assist these youngsters to work at here.”

                “Oji-chan, why you send them here and not Kiseki House?” ask Karina. Kiseki House is a shelter for unlucky kids.

                “They may become bad influence to the kids. That’s why I send them here to work.” Say old man.

                “Naomi-san, how about you show this place to them? Karina-chan, you also help them. I want to talk with him alone to discuss something.” Say Ryoichi. Naomi, Karina and other 4 boys just leave the office.

                “Ah, I never know we will meet again at place like this.” Say Karina.

                “You know them, Karina-chan?” ask Naomi.

                “Yabu Kota, Yaotome Hikaru, Yamada Ryosuke and Okamoto Keito. Yeah, I know all of them really, really well.” Say Karina.

                “I never know you will work at old folk house when we disbanded our gang.” Say Ryosuke.

                “And I never know you guys still continue what we used to do. I thought our oath was not to repeat our crime anymore. It seems only me and Reika who respect the oath.” Say Karina.

                “Gang? Crime? Oath?” Naomi really confuse with people in front of her’s conversation at that moment.

                “Well, I was in a gang and we always make ruckus at shop that look us as scum but we were supposedly stop doing it after one of us die. She died when we fight with one of bad guy’s group.” Say Karina.

                “Don’t ever bring out that story anymore. It 2 years ago.” Say Kota as he punches the wall and it scared some of old folks nearby.

                “I know you used to become leader and ask everyone to follow your rule but at here, I’m your leader and you have to follow all my rule.” Say Naomi. Kota throws his punches to Naomi with intention to make her afraid of him but Naomi manages to block it.

                “If you think Naomi will afraid with you, it just a dream. Her attack may weaker than me but I can’t defeat her because she has stronger defence.” Say Karina.

                That day is the beginning Naomi assists them to do the work or in Kota’s view, it more to torture to him. He never wants to be under a girl’s order but he knows he can’t win against her. Naomi says, “Kota, you should be gentler with Nakamaru-san.”

                “Just shut your mouth and do your work properly. Nakamaru-san, if you need anything, just asks him to do it for you.” Say Naomi.

                “Ah, really? Can you buy juices for me?” ask Nakamaru.

                “Buy it by yourself, old geez.” Say Kota and receive smack from Naomi. Naomi gives glare with sign, just do it. Kota groans and goes to vending machine to buy juices.

                Naomi goes to kitchen to check on Ryosuke and Keito who responsible on preparing food with Karina. Naomi feel a bit relieve as three of them just do their work without problem occur. Naomi asks, “Is everything okay?”

                “Yeah, it seem both of them enjoy their task.” Say Karina.

                “I almost forget the feeling hold the knife for cook.” Say Ryosuke.

                “Work at here make me remind when I was still kid. I always help someone at his restaurant. He always scolded me when I want to help him at kitchen. He said I will help him when I grown-up but he die before I could help him.” Say Keito.

                “Ah, I really hope the other two could cooperate like you guy.” Say Naomi.

                “You will face difficulty with them. Both of them different from us because their life worse than us.” Say Ryosuke.

                “Mind to explain?” ask Naomi.

                “Both Kota and Hikaru are come from problematic family. They just do it to forget all their problems and sadness. We also join them because of same reason.” Say Ryosuke.

                “How about Karina-chan?” ask Naomi again.

                “Karina-chan...” Keito couldn’t stand his laugh anymore. “She never allow anyone call her like that.”

                “Shut you a** up! Only certain people can call me like that. I join them because people keep laughing at me. I almost kill myself and they save me from doing it.” say Karina.

                “That’s why you become a brat.” Say Naomi.

                “Yeah.” Reply Karina.

                “Easy to say, both of them help you guys from bad things. In society, they just waste their time but at your view, they are your saviour.” Say Naomi. None of them hear it as Naomi says it in low voice.

                The boys begin comfortable with their works. During break time, Kota decides to stay at rooftop of the place to clear his mind.  Naomi brings drink for him and says, “It’s for you.”

                “Oh, arigatou. It seems you still have good side with me.” Say Kota.

                Naomi just opens her drink and takes sip from it. Kota asks her, “Why you work at place like this?”

                “I just want to try something different.” Say Naomi.

                “Something different?” ask Kota.

                “My family manage martial training centre but I never has interested with it as it involve violence.” Say Naomi.

                “Martial Art Centre? Do you mean Imai Martial Art Centre?” ask Kota.

                “Yeah, you know about that place too?” say Naomi.

                “Can be say that I know. I learn how to fight at there before.” Say Kota.

                “So, you know my father, right? What do you think about him?” ask Naomi.

                “He is a strict person. Never have mercy with anyone. He also doesn’t even afraid of anyone but I think it only imply to his students.” Say Kota.

                “No, he also does the same to his family and everyone couldn’t stand with it. After I graduate from high school, I apply for job at here. Owner of this place helps me to get helper license and let me work at here. I choose this place as it give Kibou (hope) to everyone at here.” Say Naomi.

                “Ah, I already forget how to search for hope. I already in that world long enough to make me forget about other things.” Say Kota.

                “You just need time to do it but never give up when challenge come to you.” Say Naomi.

                “I also still feel guilty with what happen 2 years ago.” Say Kota.

                “But it not your fault, right?” guess Naomi. She really curious with what happen 2 years ago between him and other as no one tells her about it.

                “It all because my stupid act, she get died. She wants to stop me from fight with them and get shot. In order to let anyone know about us, my father use his power to cover it and ask me to disband our gang but it only last for awhile. Our gang is everything to me.” Say Kota as he bends down to his knee.

                “Why you didn’t invite Karina-chan back into your group?” ask Naomi.

                “That girl would never forget me as I kill her sister. Eri is the one who always taught Karina about self-defence when she in she still alive.” Say Kota as he throws the can into the bin.

                Naomi wants to say something but Hikaru suddenly appear and say, “Hey, I need you guys help. Miyamoto-san suddenly lost control.”

                Both of them quickly go to the room. Miyamoto-san is actually having trouble as he really mad when his children send him there. Kota and Hikaru has to combine their strength to tie him on the bed to avoid him make insane moves.

                “Miyamoto-san, could you listen for once?” ask Karina.

                “No, I want to go back home.” Shout Miyamoto. Naomi has to take special medicine in order to calm him down. She injects it to Miyamoto and he just drops his tears.

                “Miyamoto-san, this is your house, our house. We could share happiness, sadness... everything at here. Just don’t be selfish. Everyone worry about you.” Say Naomi. She put her head on Miyamoto’s hand and cry on it.

                “Why you cry for me?” ask Miyamoto.

                “Because I sad. Why your children abandon a great father like you? You really worry about your children and you act like that.” Cried Naomi. The boys already leave the room and Karina just loses out the ties. Miyamoto reach his hand and pat Naomi’s head.

                “I really hope you’re one of my children. Your parent must be proud with you.” Say Miyamoto.

                “They ever care about me. They never want to find me when I run away from house.” Say Naomi. Karina just leaves the room and realizes Kota at the door, peeking on them. She just make signal to leave them alone bit Kota doesn’t want to do it as he really worry if anything happen to Naomi.

                A few weeks later, most of them take leave. Naomi just applies leave because Karina asks her to do that. She predicts that is their friend’s death anniversary as the ‘gang’ apply leave. She just waits for Karina to fetch her to other place.

                “I thought Karina was going to fetch me.” Say Naomi.

                “Oh, she just trip over something and couldn’t drive to fetch you. She will wait at that place.” Say Kota. Naomi just joins Kota to go the place.

                What Naomi guess is right; it is their friend’s death anniversary. She asks Karina why she also here and Karina just say, “We want to tell her that we just find someone who could control Kou-kun. I think she will be happy with it as she really worries if no one could replace her place.”

                “Kou-kun?” Naomi seems confuse. Karina just whisper, “Don’t say it aloud. He will mad as only Eri-nee could call her like that.”

                They go to Eri’s grave and do what they should do at that place. It is also the first time for Naomi to see Karina is crying when they say something to Eri. After 2 hours at there, all of them decide to leave the place.

                “Gomen, Nao-chan. I can’t send you back as someone doesn’t let me drive today.” Say Karina.

                “You almost broke your leg and still want to drive? You better let the swollen recover first.” Say Keito.

                “Both of you has anything?” ask Naomi.

                “Both of them already couple at our back. It really disgusting to see their lovey-dovey moment at the kitchen while preparing the meal.” Say Ryosuke.

                “Oh... no wonder.” Say Naomi.

                “It only disgusting because you don’t have girlfriend.” Say Reika as she put her hand on Ryosuke’s shoulder.

                “Haha... and how about you?” ask Ryosuke.

                Reika just show ring at her ring finger and says, “Okay, I don’t have lover but I have fiancée.”

                “I will send you back home.” Say Kota.

                “Ah... arigatou.” Say Naomi.

                “But I need to stay here a bit longer. You can wait in the car and this is my key.” Say Kota and he give car key to Naomi. Everyone else already leaves the place and Naomi takes a peek on Kota. She really surprise to see Kota is crying in front of Eri’s grave.

                “I’m sorry... I’m really, really sorry.” Cried Kota. Naomi doesn’t want to make any misunderstand and she just waits inside Kota’s car.

                “Why he cried at that place yesterday?” ask Naomi while drying the dishes with Karina.

                “I heard that he actually like Eri-nee but I don’t know if it true or not as he really good in hiding truth.” Say Karina.

                “Ah, I realize something. You never call him by his name. Usually, you will call him as ‘that guy’ or ‘him’. The only time you call him by name was they arrived here. Why you do that?” say Naomi.

                “I would never call him by name anymore. I don’t know why... maybe because his image for me was always with Eri-nee. And why you suddenly ask about him?” Say Karina.

                “Nothing... I just curious about him.” Say Naomi.

                “Don’t say that you already fall in love with him.” Say Karina.

                “Why I would fall in love with him?” ask Naomi.

                “You never ask or talk about any guys in this place but today, you talk about him.” Say Karina.

                One day, it only left Naomi and Kota; Keito, Ryosuke and Karina already leave earlier while Hikaru has to stay for night shift. Naomi still need to finish report for her work while Kota just waiting outside the place.

                “Want to go back together?” ask Kota.

                “I think I should accept it as our house in same way.” Say Naomi.

                Both of them walk together to go back home. They talk about many things but when they arrive at a tunnel, “Are, is that Yabu Kota from famous Kuroi.”

                “Yabai, what we have to meet them at here.” Say Kota.

                “Wah, you already have a girlfriend. Could you share her with us?” ask one of them, Tonii.

                “I would never let anyone of you touch her.” Say Kota. They begin fight each other. Kota does his best to avoid anyone get near Naomi but the people just too many for him to fight along.

                Suddenly, a group of familiar people join them. Hikaru says, “How could you have fun alone? You should tell us.”

                “Baka, how could I contact you guys when I’ busy fighting?” ask Kota.

                “Naomi-san, you don’t have to worry as we also at here.” Say Ryosuke.            

                “How you could know about what happen here?” ask Naomi.

                Karina gives high-kick one of them who want to attack Naomi and says, “Someone tell me that Tonii and his gang want to revenge on them. We just lucky as this group really noisy with everything they want to do.”

                They fight for several minutes to defeat their entire enemy. Karina just take out a rope and ties every of them together before ask someone to call police. Naomi asks, “Where you get the rope?”

                “I always have it. In case I need this to tie someone. This gang already cause many problems with public and police really want to catch them.” Say Karina. After that, they just leave the place except Kota and Naomi.

                “Are you okay? You seem really surprise.” ask Kota.

                “I just... just... never... see...it before.” Say Naomi as she shivering. Kota just support her to go back home.

                “If you really afraid, don’t open the door to anyone. If you need anything, call me and I will come here.” Say Kota.

                Keito and Karina arrive together at Kibou House and goes to staff room to change clothes. Karina realize something and ask, “Oyaji, where is Nao-chan? Usually, she will arrive earlier than me.”

                “Oh, she applies leave for today.” Say Ryoichi.

                “Maybe she still shock with what happen.” Say Ryosuke.

                “What happen yesterday?” ask Ryoichi.

                Karina slaps Ryosuke’s head and say, “Nothing happens, oyaji.”

                “Do you want me to check what happen yesterday by using someone’s intelligence?” threat Ryoichi.

                “Okay, I will tell you about it. Tonii and his gang attack Nao-chan and that dude yesterday. We also at there to help them.” Say Karina.

                Ryoichi just glare at Karina before says, “You should ask help from me to defeat them.”

                “Our fighting skills defeat them. You don’t have to worry as we already send them to police.” Say Karina.

                “It’s okay for you guy but not for Naomi-san. She always avoids violence and just witnesses it yesterday. Just let Naomi-san rest and recover from shock before work.” Say Ryoichi.

                After work, Kota decides to visit Naomi as he actually worries about her. As soon he arrive there, Naomi seem normal but he knows that Naomi still in shock. He says, “Those bad guy already being caught by police yesterday. Chance for them to revenge on you is zero.”

                “Why you come here?” ask Naomi.

                “I just worry about you. I don’t know why I worry about you.” Say Kota.

                “Thank you for worrying me.” Say Naomi. Suddenly, Kota hugs her from back and says, “You just show me many things that I already forget.”

                “Kota-kun, why you suddenly say like that?” ask Naomi.

                “You also make me realize a new feeling; love. I think I already in love with you.” Say Kota.

                “Is that a confession?” ask Naomi. She wants to look at Kota’s face but she can’t move.

                “Don’t look at me right now. I think I already red by blushing.” Say Kota as he feels his face already hot.

                “Jaa, let me bring cold drink for you.” Say Naomi.

                “No, just let me like this for awhile.” Say Kota.

                After several days, Naomi gets back to work with Kota. Everyone happy to see them back. Naomi bring Miyamoto go out for walk at the garden. Miyamoto says, “You already couple with someone right?”

                “Why you say like that?” ask Naomi.

                “I’m a veteran people and I know how people in love.” Say Miyamoto.

                “She already couple with Kota.” Say Hikaru.

                “How you know?” ask Naomi.

                “He already tells us about it.” say Karina. Naomi begins chase Karina and try to close her mouth before she could announce everyone about it. Kota just smile to see it from the building as he still has work to do. Everyone just enjoy the moment and pray for the couple’s love last forever.
